This document sets out the rules for the processing of personal data obtained through the website Armata Legal Kancelaria Adwokacka Julia Armata, based in Krakow, available at https://www.armatalegal.com, as well as the rules for the use of cookies on this website.

Purpose and legal basis of personal data processing

a. Personal data processed in connection with contact through the contact form and provision of legal services.

Your personal data, such as name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, subject of consultation, brief description of the case provided by you are processed for the purpose of concluding a contract for the provision of legal services.

The legal basis for processing this personal data is: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), necessity to perform the contract or to take action prior to entering into the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), necessity to fulfill legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), including. c of the GDPR), including those arising from legal and administrative proceedings, bookkeeping and tax settlements, and archiving of data and documents, as well as the Administrator's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), including maintaining the relationship, as well as archiving data in case of the need to assert or defend against possible claims.

b. Personal data processed in connection with the use of the website.

When you use our website, we may process your data such as your IP address, cookies, the website from which you accessed, the browser used, location data and other identifiers related to your access to our websites. We may also process data left by you on our sites, e.g. in comments, in messages, in chat.

This data is processed for the purposes of informing you about the performance of our activities and for analytical purposes, and the basis for its processing is the legitimate interest of the Administrator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), consisting of informing you about the performance of our activities and conducting analysis of website users' activities.  

c. Personal data processed in connection with newsletters and commercial information

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we may process your personal data, such as your name, surname, e-mail address, in order to inform you about our activities.  If you request commercial information from us, we may process your personal information such as name, contact details, position, company details to provide commercial information.

The legal basis for processing this personal data is: Your consent given when signing up for the newsletter (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), as well as the Administrator's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing the newsletter and commercial information until the data subject objects as provided by law.

Personal data retention period

Your personal data will be processed by us for the period necessary for the performance of the contract or the provision of legal services, and thereafter for the period necessary for the expiration of the statute of limitations for claims, related to the provision of legal services and the performance of the contract.

Regarding data processed under applicable laws (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR), it will be processed for the period provided by law.

Data processed solely on the basis of expressed consent will be processed only until the consent to process the data is withdrawn.

Recipients of personal data

Your personal data may be transferred to the necessary extent to recipients of data - entities providing business support services to the Administrator (i.e., accounting services, IT services, law firm management software, etc.) within the framework of the personal data processing entrustment relationship, in connection with the use of services provided by these entities.

Your data may also be transferred to entities and authorities to which the Administrator is obliged or authorised to make personal data available on the basis of generally applicable laws.

Transfers of personal data outside the EEA

Your personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area as part of the Administrator's use of entities that provide IT solutions and systems, including mailing software, which entities may store personal data on servers located outside this area (including the United States) or as part of the Administrator's performance of legal services to the extent necessary to perform the service.

All of the providers of IT solutions and systems, including the mailing software provider we use, have joined the EU-US-Privacy Shield program to ensure an adequate level of personal data protection as required by European law. As part of the agreement between the US and the European Commission, the latter has stated an adequate level of data protection for Privacy Shield-certified companies.  

In the course of operating our website, we use the analytical tools Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, based in the USA. The basis for processing this data and transferring it to Google LLC and is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to create statistics and analyze them in order to optimize our websites. Analytics tools are used to automatically collect information about your use of our websites. Google LLC, which is headquartered in the US and uses the technical infrastructure located there, has joined the EU-US-Privacy Shield program in order to ensure an adequate level of personal data protection as required by European regulations. As part of the agreement between the US and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified by Privacy Shield.

Automated decision-making and profiling

We do not use systems that enable automated decision-making, as well as profiling.

Rights related to the processing of personal data

You have the right to request from the Administrator: access to the content of your data, rectification of data, deletion of data, restriction of data processing, as well as the right to: object to the processing of your data AND to data portability.

Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Such revocation shall not affect the legality of data processing that took place on the basis of consent prior to its revocation.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority, i.e. the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Personal data that are required to be provided by law are obligatory to be provided, and in other cases their provision is voluntary, but their failure to be provided may make it impossible to maintain contact with you, as well as to conclude and execute a contract, and thus provide legal services.

Cookies

Our website saves so-called "cookies" on the end device you use (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone). Cookies stored on your end device allow you to access the information contained in them. Thanks to this information, it is possible to ensure proper operation of our website while providing all its functions, but also to perform statistical analysis of website traffic in order to improve the structure and content of the website. Cookies can also be used to collect information for commercial purposes, e.g. better adaptation of presented content and offers to the preferences and interests of a person using the website, determined on the basis of information stored in cookies. Cookies are not used to identify website users and do not allow to determine the identity of users.
